Senior Data Engineer – Cloud & AI Focus

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a global consulting and technology services firm delivering large‑scale digital, data and AI transformation programmes. The role is based in London with a hybrid model (three days on‑site) and offers the chance to shape modern enterprise data platforms for high‑impact clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise complex ETL processes, data pipelines and integration solutions across enterprise environments.
• Lead the delivery of scalable, high‑performing cloud‑based data platforms.
• Develop and maintain robust data models and architectures to support reporting, advanced analytics and AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other Data Engineers and project teams.
• Contribute to data architecture decisions, platform strategy and technology roadmaps.
• Lead data migration and transformation projects across multiple systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer or in a comparable Data & Analytics role delivering enterprise‑scale solutions.
• Strong hands‑on background designing and building complex ETL processes and large‑scale pipelines.
• Significant experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Advanced SQL expertise working with large, complex datasets.
• Solid Python programming skills for data engineering tasks.
