Senior Data Scientist

About the role

Join a fast‑growing fintech that is redefining consumer lending through smarter, more personalised credit decisions. As a Senior Data Scientist you will own the end‑to‑end modelling process, turning data into real‑world lending outcomes while working in a hybrid environment (two days remote per week).

Key responsibilities

• Build and optimise credit risk models, including traditional scorecards and advanced machine‑learning approaches.
• Deploy models into production, monitor performance and iterate to maintain accuracy.
• Develop robust data pipelines and integrate multiple data sources (bureau, Open Banking, affordability data) into decisioning frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering and commercial teams to ensure models directly influence lending strategy.

Required profile

• Strong experience developing credit risk models and scorecards.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for analysis, modelling and data manipulation.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Understanding of model deployment, production monitoring and version control.
• Ability to translate technical results into commercial insights for a fintech lending business.
