Senior Data Scientist – Pricing (London)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join a fast‑growing, data‑driven organisation in London. You will lead the design and deployment of machine‑learning solutions that directly influence pricing, risk assessment and commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop predictive models for risk, claims outcomes, fraud detection and other business metrics.
• Create and maintain analytical tools that improve portfolio management and commercial performance.
• Identify, evaluate and extract value from new internal and external data sources.
• Engineer new features and rating factors to enhance existing pricing algorithms.
• Manage the full ML lifecycle—from exploratory analysis to deployment, monitoring and model refresh.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts and business stakeholders to translate challenges into impactful solutions.
• Explore emerging machine‑learning techniques and assess their commercial applicability.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience delivering end‑to‑end machine‑learning projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure Machine Learning, Azure cloud services and Git.
• Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences and influence decisions.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary data and analytics teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a track record of high‑quality analytical delivery.
