Senior Day Service Support Worker – Hertfordshire

About the role

We are looking for experienced Senior Day Service Support Workers to join our day centres across Hertfordshire. You will help individuals lead active, fulfilling lives while developing your own career in a supportive public‑sector environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and shape daily programmes, ensuring activities are engaging, inclusive and responsive to attendees' needs.
• Communicate updates clearly with senior staff and managers, applying a positive‑risk approach.
• Develop and deliver personalised support plans for each individual.
• Build strong partnerships with families, health professionals, social workers and other agencies.
• Take responsibility for safe medication administration and accurate record‑keeping.
• Supervise and support junior staff to maintain high standards of care.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Day Service Support Worker.
• Ability to lead teams and manage daily programmes.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
• Commitment to promoting independence and wellbeing of service users.
