Senior Delegated Authority Analyst

About the role

The Senior Delegated Authority Analyst will work closely with the Delegated Authority (DUA) Manager to oversee delegated authority activities for a Lloyd's syndicate. The role involves extensive due‑diligence, technical reviews of coverholder agreements and supporting underwriting and claims teams on delegated authority matters.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of delegated authority business for specific classes of business.
• Conduct comprehensive due‑diligence on new and renewing coverholder applications to ensure alignment with internal risk appetite and Lloyd's principles.
• Perform technical reviews of binding authority agreements, lineslips and consortia for procedural and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain ongoing due‑diligence throughout the coverholder relationship and manage related contracts.
• Prepare and process applications for classes of business, branch offices and regional extensions.
• Support underwriting and claims teams with delegated authority queries, approvals and mid‑term changes.
• Act as the primary contact for binding authority contracts and liaise with brokers as required.
• Manage the delegated authority audit programme, including scheduling, scoping and tracking recommendations.
• Prepare management information for internal governance forums and regulatory reporting.
• Contribute to periodic reviews of delegated authority processes, procedures and controls.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in delegated authority within a Lloyd's environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lloyd's principles and internal risk appetite.
• Proven ability to conduct due‑diligence and technical reviews of coverholder agreements.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, interacting with underwriters, claims teams, brokers and other parties.
