Senior Delivery Project Manager – Design & Construction

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term role is based onsite in Central London and offers the chance to lead a high‑profile healthcare redevelopment programme for a leading private hospital. You will own the delivery of complex capital projects, ensuring patient safety and service continuity throughout construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of major healthcare refurbishment and redevelopment projects from concept to commissioning.
• Develop project briefs, specifications, programmes and business cases.
• Manage multidisciplinary design and construction teams, coordinating architects, consultants and contractors.
• Act as primary contact for senior clinicians, hospital leadership and other stakeholders.
• Oversee project governance, risk management, reporting and compliance with healthcare and construction regulations.
• Control budgets, financial reporting and cost‑control activities.
• Monitor contractor performance, quality, health & safety and programme delivery.
• Drive project commissioning, practical completion and operational handover.

Required profile

• Significant experience delivering large‑scale healthcare capital projects, preferably client‑side.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare construction, refurbishment and redevelopment programmes.
• Proven ability to influence senior executives and manage complex stakeholder environments.
• Hands‑on oversight of project delivery with a focus on safety, compliance and budget adherence.
