Senior Design Engineer – Catia V5 (Hybrid, Bristol)

About the role

Belcan is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to support a long‑term wing repair and modification programme in Bristol. Working on an Inside IR35 12‑month contract, you will create and maintain high‑quality CAD models and drawings using Catia V5, collaborating closely with stress, design and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Create, update and maintain parametric 3D models of wing structural components in Catia V5.
• Produce accurate 2D detail and installation drawings from the 3D models.
• Interpret Airbus stress analysis data and project requirements to develop design solutions.
• Manage interfaces between wing structural components and associated systems.
• Consider manufacturing and installation constraints when delivering design outputs.
• Contribute to structural repair design activities throughout the contract period.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Catia V5 with proven experience in parametric CAD modelling.
• Ability to generate clear and precise engineering drawings.
• Capability to interpret stress analysis data and translate project inputs into design deliverables.
• Awareness of manufacturing, installation and repair processes in an aerospace environment.
