About the role

The NHS Ayrshire and Arran Digital Services team at Ailsa Hospital is seeking a Senior Developer to lead the design and delivery of innovative digital solutions that support the organisation's strategic objectives. Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers through the full lifecycle of digital systems, from planning and development to implementation and maintenance.
• Provide technical oversight to ensure projects meet quality standards and are delivered efficiently.
• Engage with operational teams to gather requirements and translate them into robust digital solutions.
• Contribute to service redesign initiatives that improve digital services and align with organisational goals.
• Utilise AI‑assisted tools such as ChatGPT or Copilot to enhance planning and development processes.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of digital systems and applications across the entire development lifecycle.
• Proven ability to deliver high‑quality, innovative solutions that support strategic objectives.
• Experience working closely with operational teams to capture requirements and ensure solutions meet user needs.
• Track record of contributing to service or system redesign projects.
• Possession of a valid UK driving licence.
