Senior Developer

About the role

Reporting to the VP of Product & Engineering, you will join a small, experienced engineering team responsible for evolving AppyWay's backend platform and technical architecture. You will help build the next generation of APIs, cloud services and data pipelines that power the company’s intelligent kerbside platform, enabling new datasets, products and international scaling.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs using C# .NET.
• Develop platform capabilities for kerbside, parking, payments, mapping and mobility products.
• Build data ingestion and transformation pipelines to onboard and standardise new datasets.
• Create reusable SDKs, shared libraries and platform components to improve product consistency.
• Modernise cloud infrastructure, contribute to platform migrations and technology upgrades.
• Design and support cloud‑native services hosted in Microsoft Azure.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines and engineering automation to boost reliability and developer productivity.
• Contribute to AI‑powered workflows such as document processing, data extraction and intelligence generation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend development, preferably with C# and .NET.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Hands‑on experience with data pipelines, API design and SDK development.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior engineers and product leadership.
• Passion for building solutions that help decarbonise cities.
