Senior DevOps Engineer (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a critical engineering team in London. The role focuses on building, automating and supporting large‑scale, mission‑critical platforms while driving DevOps best practices across the software delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain and support enterprise DevOps platforms and on‑premises Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Create and improve CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and related automation tools.
• Support highly available Linux production environments and drive automation for provisioning, deployment and operations.
• Lead production deployments, environment promotions and major incident response, including root‑cause analysis.
• Monitor platform health with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack or Splunk and ensure observability.
• Collaborate with engineering, platform and infrastructure teams to improve reliability, scalability and efficiency.
• Mentor engineers and promote DevOps culture across delivery teams.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with on‑premises Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Extensive background in DevOps engineering, CI/CD pipeline development and IaC.
• Proven ability to support 24/7 critical systems and participate in on‑call rotations.
• Experience leading production releases, incident management and change governance.
• Excellent stakeholder communication during live incidents and a production‑first mindset.
