Senior Director, AI, Data & Analytics

About the role

This senior position leads the enterprise data, analytics and AI strategy for a highly regulated global organisation. Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will shape how data and advanced analytics drive commercial decisions, operational efficiency and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a data, analytics and AI roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Lead cross‑functional teams covering data engineering, analytics, business intelligence, insight and data science.
• Promote data‑driven decision‑making across senior leadership and business functions.
• Establish robust data governance, ownership models and data quality standards.
• Define the organisation’s AI and machine‑learning strategy to create measurable business value.
• Oversee modern data platforms, architecture and analytics capabilities.
• Provide strategic insight influencing commercial, operational and procurement decisions.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders in a complex matrix environment.
• Champion data literacy and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Manage and develop a high‑performing team, supporting capability growth.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in data, analytics, business intelligence or insights.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing enterprise data strategies.
• Strong expertise in analytics, reporting, business intelligence and strategic insight.
• Experience leading advanced analytics, machine learning or data science functions.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality and enterprise data management best practices.
• Background in large, complex or matrix organisations.
• Ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive adoption of data‑driven culture.
