Senior Discovery Consultant – IT Infrastructure & CMDB

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, customer‑focused Senior Discovery Consultant to join our growing team. You will lead the design, implementation and optimisation of enterprise discovery solutions, helping clients achieve accurate visibility of their IT estates while maintaining high‑quality CMDB data.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and optimise discovery platforms for datacentre asset and infrastructure detection.
• Integrate discovery tools with CMDBs to provide a reliable source of asset data.
• Develop custom scripts and enhancements to extend discovery functionality.
• Create dashboards, reports and insights that maximise the value of the discovery platform.
• Gather and document customer requirements through workshops and technical discussions.
• Advise on best practices for discovery, CMDB management and operational processes.
• Lead implementation projects from planning through delivery, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Monitor discovery performance, resolve issues and support CMDB audits.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT infrastructure and datacentre discovery.
• Strong background in CMDB integration and data quality management.
• Ability to work closely with customers, translate technical concepts into business language and mentor junior consultants.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for complex technical challenges.
