Senior Dispute Resolution Solicitor – Commercial Litigation

About the role

Our client is seeking a Senior Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join a busy, growing team in Southampton. The role offers hybrid working and the chance to manage a diverse portfolio of high‑value commercial disputes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an independent caseload covering contract disputes, property litigation, professional negligence, co‑ownership disputes, debt recovery and contentious probate.
• Draft pleadings, statements of case and other court documents.
• Represent clients at hearings, mediations and trials.
• Provide clear, commercial‑focused advice throughout the dispute lifecycle, from pre‑action to settlement or trial.
• Mentor junior solicitors where required and contribute to business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with at least 5 years PQE in dispute resolution.
• Strong advocacy, drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Proven experience managing a full caseload from start to finish.
• Excellent client care and communication skills with a solutions‑focused mindset.
• Desirable: experience supervising junior solicitors and interest in business development.
