Senior EHS Compliance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior EHS Compliance Engineer to lead health, safety and environmental compliance across our manufacturing and pharmaceutical sites. You will act as a strategic partner to management, ensuring statutory obligations are met while fostering a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee EHS compliance for operational and project activities.
• Advise management on UK legislation such as CDM, PUWER and LOLER.
• Support internal and external audits, inspections and compliance reporting.
• Lead incident investigations and drive improvement initiatives.
• Maintain EHS systems, records and documentation.
• Collaborate with contractors, suppliers and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor regulatory updates and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Deliver training and awareness programmes for staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience in EHS and engineering compliance within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation (CDM, PUWER, LOLER).
• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals or chemicals is desirable.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
