Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical building services projects for a multidisciplinary consultancy based in Witney, Oxfordshire. The role involves delivering high‑quality designs from concept through to completion while collaborating with clients, architects and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design of commercial, education, healthcare and industrial projects.
• Produce detailed schematics, calculations and specifications in line with UK building regulations.
• Manage project schedules, budgets and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Attend client meetings, present design solutions and ensure compliance with sustainability targets.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Electrical Engineer with several years of experience in building services.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver on time.
• Current UK Security Clearance (SC) or ability to obtain it.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Electrical building services design.
• Knowledge of UK electrical codes and low‑carbon design principles.
