Senior Electrical Design Engineer (MEP/Building Services)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a well‑established MEP consultancy near Sevenoaks. You will lead technically challenging building‑services projects, influence delivery, and help grow the business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical design on multiple building‑services projects from concept to completion.
• Produce detailed electrical designs, specifications and calculations for lighting, power distribution, small power, fire alarm, security and life‑safety systems.
• Attend client, design‑team and site meetings and coordinate designs with mechanical engineers, Revit technicians and external consultants.
• Review drawings and calculations to ensure technical accuracy.
• Mentor graduate and intermediate engineers.
• Manage project programmes, delivering work within agreed timescales and budgets.

Required profile

• Several years’ experience designing electrical building‑services systems within a consultancy environment.
• Proven ability to lead projects and work collaboratively with clients, architects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong technical competence and a proactive, ownership‑driven attitude.
