Senior Electrical Engineer – Major Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Major Projects Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Mechanical Electrical and Technology team in Liverpool. The role involves leading electrical design on large, complex infrastructure schemes, delivering sustainable and buildable solutions from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electrical design delivery on major infrastructure projects.
• Provide expert technical guidance and assurance to multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate design activities to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Drive BIM, innovation and sustainability outcomes across projects.
• Manage cost, risk and stakeholder engagement, reporting progress to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Degree‑qualified Electrical Engineer, Chartered or working towards chartered status (CIBSE or IET).
• Significant senior‑level experience in building services and electrical design.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams on public and private sector projects.
• Ability to meet BPSS security requirements.
