Senior Electrical Systems Engineer – Clean Tech

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to join a fast‑growing clean‑tech company developing battery‑ and solar‑powered refrigeration solutions for the transport sector. You will own the electrical design from concept through to production, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop complete electrical systems for refrigeration products.
• Create detailed electrical diagrams, schematics and wiring layouts.
• Select appropriate components and manage supplier relationships.
• Test prototypes, diagnose faults and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, manufacturing and supply‑chain teams.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Required profile

• Several years of experience designing electrical systems in automotive, industrial, transport or battery environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and compliance.
• Hands‑on approach to testing and fault finding.
• Ability to work on‑site three days a week in Leatherhead and commute from surrounding areas.
