Senior Electronics Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to lead the design and architecture of our medical‑grade tablet computers. Based in Bristol with a hybrid schedule, you will join a high‑performing hardware team that creates assistive technology enabling people with speech difficulties to communicate.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end design, development and delivery of complex electronic systems for medical‑grade tablets.
• Define system architecture and subsystem strategies across hardware and firmware.
• Design circuits, select components, review PCB layouts and build/test prototypes.
• Collaborate with firmware, production, quality and repair teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Drive verification, validation and regulatory compliance, including medical device standards.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best engineering practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electronics design for medical or safety‑critical devices.
• Strong leadership and ability to guide multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to regulatory requirements.
