Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer

About the role

A Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer will join a global technology company delivering innovative electronic equipment to the broadcast industry. You will take designs from concept through to production, writing efficient C/C++ code, integrating hardware and software, optimising system performance and handling debugging and troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑performance firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers and processors.
• Create Linux drivers and bare‑metal code for embedded platforms.
• Integrate hardware and software components and optimise overall system efficiency.
• Debug, troubleshoot and resolve firmware and hardware issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to meet product specifications.
• Ensure compliance with broadcast, audio and video communication protocols.

Required profile

• Degree in Electronics, Software, Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
• Several years of industrial experience in embedded design.
• Low‑level experience with Linux, bare‑metal coding and RTOS.
• Familiarity with broadcast or Pro AV product development is highly beneficial.
