Senior Embedded Software Engineer – C & Rust

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer with strong C and Rust expertise to develop mission‑critical communications products. The role is hybrid, requiring only one day per week in our Watford office, and offers a competitive salary and generous benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain robust embedded software for Linux‑based platforms.
• Write and optimise kernel‑space and user‑space components in C and Rust.
• Implement networking features, protocols and drivers for high‑performance communication systems.
• Debug complex software/hardware integration issues and ensure safety‑critical compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, high‑quality products.

Required profile

• 1st or 2.1 degree in Software Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science or a related field.
• Several years of embedded software development, preferably on safety‑critical systems.
• Strong experience with Embedded Linux and low‑level driver development.
• Proven ability to work with networking protocols and network drivers.
