Senior EMC Engineer

About the role

The Senior EMC Engineer will lead electromagnetic compatibility activities throughout the product development lifecycle, acting as the primary EMC contact for OEM communications and ensuring compliance with legal and customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary EMC contact for OEM technical communications and requirements management.
• Analyze and interpret legal and OEM EMC specification documents to ensure compliance.
• Develop and maintain EMC Compliance Matrices and obtain customer agreement.
• Create EMC test specifications for Design Validation and Product Validation phases.
• Plan and coordinate EMC test campaigns with internal teams and certified test laboratories.
• Review EMC test reports, communicate results to stakeholders, and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Provide technical guidance on EMC‑compatible hardware design and support circuit and layout development.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or Automotive Engineering.
• 5+ years of professional experience in EMC testing, preferably in automotive or aerospace.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to analyze and interpret technical specifications and compliance documentation.

Required skills

• EMC testing and compliance.
• Circuit design, layout and RF theory.
• Knowledge of electrical hardware development and validation.
• Experience with CANalyzer, CANape and INCA software.
• Statistical analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE) and product reliability analysis.
• Cross‑functional team coordination and communication.
• Fluency in English and German.
