Senior Employment Associate – Legal Practice

About the role

AJ Chambers is partnering with a Legal 500 accredited law firm to expand its Employment team. The Senior Employment Associate will lead complex employment matters for employer clients, providing both contentious and advisory support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex disciplinary, grievance and redundancy processes, including TUPE and business transfers.
• Lead Employment Tribunal claims covering unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and breach of contract.
• Negotiate senior executive exits, settlements and post‑termination disputes, including restrictive covenants.
• Draft and advise on employment contracts, HR policies and employee incentive/share schemes.
• Provide corporate employment advice on M&A transactions and retained client HR matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in Employment law.
• Proven track record advising employer clients on both contentious and non‑contentious issues.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and commercial problem‑solving abilities.
