Senior Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the delivery of high‑value construction projects across a range of sectors. You will work closely with the project team, clients, and supply‑chain partners to ensure successful execution of earthworks, structural works and related packages.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the site engineering function and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Review technical drawings, specifications and contract documents for buildability, commercial viability and programme compliance.
• Oversee setting‑out, dimensional control and quality of works within defined tolerances.
• Commission and manage external surveys, and prepare permit and licence applications.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ policies, and supervise inductions, risk assessments and method statements.
• Define the scope and appoint Temporary Works Consultants where required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior engineering roles on construction sites.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and manage multiple priorities.
• Professional engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
