Senior Engineer – Construction (RC Specialist)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our Kier Construction team working on a high‑profile commercial project on Oxford Street. The role is based in Greater London with remote working available and occasional visits to the office.

Key responsibilities

• Set out works and regularly check setting‑out points and benchmarks for accuracy.
• Monitor and inspect work carried out by the RC frame contractor and other trades, ensuring compliance with technical standards.
• Raise technical queries with the design team and supply chain to secure necessary information.
• Monitor and report on the technical compliance of materials, equipment, products and workmanship.
• Ensure the site team understands and follows primary setting‑out information.

Required profile

• Previous experience in reinforced concrete (RC) basement and preferably RC superstructure construction.
• HNC or higher in a civil engineering‑related discipline.
• Proven setting‑out experience using surveying instruments.
• Training and experience in temporary works.
• Valid CSCS Card and SMSTS qualification.
