Senior Engineer – Structures

About the role

Robert Bird Group is seeking a Senior Engineer – Structures to lead detailed structural design on a variety of projects, including commercial, mixed‑use and data centre developments. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integration and delivery aligned with project programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client liaison and support business development activities.
• Coordinate project delivery, allocate resources and manage design documentation.
• Develop engineering solutions and define design philosophy for both temporary and permanent works.
• Produce preliminary and detailed structural designs.
• Perform design checking and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior structural engineering roles.
• Ability to work collaboratively with architects, contractors and other engineering disciplines.
• Strong communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
