Senior Engineering Project Manager – Capital Projects

About the role

Based in Carlton, Barnsley, the Senior Engineering Project Manager will lead major capital investment projects for Premier Foods’ iconic brands such as Mr Kipling. This role shapes the future of manufacturing operations while heading a high‑performing projects team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of capital, infrastructure and improvement projects from concept through commissioning.
• Manage project scope, budgets, timelines and supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and food manufacturing standards.
• Develop business cases and capital investment proposals.
• Lead and develop a team of Project Engineers, driving performance and capability.
• Collaborate with site and central teams to deliver business priorities.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Proven capital project management experience within FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong leadership experience managing multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and engineering compliance requirements.
