Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Remediation Engineer to lead complex soil and groundwater remediation projects for major infrastructure works in London. The role combines technical delivery with commercial management, offering a hybrid working pattern and a performance‑based commission structure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end delivery of remediation schemes, including site investigation, design, implementation and validation.
• Prepare and price commercial tenders, ensuring accurate costings for upcoming works.
• Lead, mentor and develop a small team of environmental consultants.
• Procure, coordinate and oversee specialised subcontractors on site.
• Apply excavation methodologies and a range of remediation techniques to address contaminants such as asbestos, PFAS, heavy metals and hydrocarbons.
• Oversee waste management and ensure regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven experience in contaminated land and remediation projects.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to win new business.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
