Senior Family Solicitor (Hybrid) – Exeter

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Family Solicitor to join a leading family law practice in the South West. The role offers hybrid working, allowing you to split your time between the Exeter office and remote locations such as Taunton or Weston‑Super‑Mare.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of divorce and private law children proceedings across courts in the Southwest and beyond.
• Develop specialisms in niche areas of family law, including any personal interests.
• Conduct advocacy in court as required and represent clients throughout the litigation process.
• Supervise fellow fee‑earners, mentor trainees and contribute to team development.
• Travel to meetings and court dates; maintain a daily access to a car.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with Family Practice Rights (litigation and advocacy) and at least 5 years PQE in family law.
• Member of Resolution and interest in NCDR.
• Excellent client care, communication and professional accreditation maintenance.
• Ability to work in a paperless environment and adapt to modern case‑management systems.

Required skills

• Experience with LEAP case‑management system (preferred).
