Senior Field Engineer – Server, Networking & Storage

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Field Engineer with strong expertise in servers, storage and networking to support our channel‑only IT maintenance partner. Based in Leeds you will work from home and travel to customer sites across the region, providing on‑site technical assistance and ensuring service level agreements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Triaging and resolving server, storage and network issues for customers.
• Taking ownership of incidents that could impact contractual SLAs.
• Responding to technical assistance requests and managing fault maintenance calls.
• Coordinating parts orders and handling general support queries.
• Participating in pre‑sales technical activities.
• Joining the regional 24/7 out‑of‑hours rota as required.
• Collaborating with Service Delivery, Service Desk, Logistics and Purchasing teams.
• Maintaining accurate records in internal systems and updating customer information.

Required profile

• Proven experience with server, storage and network devices.
• Background in IT maintenance services and external customer support.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational abilities and the flexibility to work outside core hours.
• Valid driving licence.

What we offer

• Permanent full‑time contract (Monday‑Friday).
• Salary up to £38,000 per year plus a £5,000 car allowance.
