Senior Financial Analyst – International Grocery Operations Finance

About the role

Amazon’s International Grocery Operations Finance team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead FP&A and automation for Under‑The‑Roof (UTR) finance across the UK, Italy, Spain and Japan. This high‑visibility position blends financial planning, operational analytics and reporting automation, partnering with senior leaders worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Own variable cost (VCPU) reporting and planning across four markets, delivering weekly decks, monthly leadership updates and planning inputs.
• Lead automation and BI initiatives as the primary finance interface with the FIRE (Finance Intelligence & Reporting Engineering) team.
• Manage Cost Per Hour (CPH) wage planning, consolidating inputs from labour agencies, PxT and Operations.
• Consolidate UTR finance data—including variable cost productivity, freight‑in, fixed cost and wages—for VP/Director‑level reporting.
• Drive month‑end close controllership, handling accruals, cost booking, reconciliations and audit trails across four countries.
• Build and maintain executive dashboards and the International Rating Balanced Scorecard.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Operations and S&OP teams to identify cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Challenge assumptions, surface risks and contribute to worldwide standardisation of reporting frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial planning and analysis within a multi‑country, high‑growth environment.
• Strong ability to influence without formal authority and communicate with VP‑level stakeholders.
• Hands‑on, proactive mindset – identifies gaps and delivers solutions independently.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on cost optimisation and operational efficiency.
