Senior Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join a leading music‑industry finance team in London. Working hybrid (three days in the office), you will partner with major and independent record labels, the CFO and senior executives to drive finance transformation and provide commercial insight.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes and produce monthly management accounts and board packs.
• Own statutory accounts, regulatory reporting and manage external audit engagements.
• Maintain balance‑sheet governance, reconciliations and working‑capital management.
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS and uphold strong financial controls.
• Drive continuous improvement of finance processes and systems.
• Act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders across Distribution, Transformation, People, Projects and Change.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing finance team and deputise for the Finance Director.
• Present financial performance and strategic insights to executive and board‑level audiences.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in senior controllership roles.
• Confidence to operate in a highly visible leadership position.
• Experience working with commercial finance partners in a fast‑moving environment.
