Senior Financial Controller

About the role

An established global macro investment manager is looking for a qualified accountant to join its finance team as a Senior Financial Controller. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will gain broad exposure across corporate finance, fund accounting, regulatory reporting and strategic initiatives within a sophisticated alternative investment platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly management accounts across multiple entities.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and year‑end audit processes.
• Oversee cash management, financial controls and tax filings.
• Review NAV calculations and fund‑accounting activities.
• Liaise with fund administrators, auditors and external advisers.
• Support regulatory reporting and governance requirements.
• Contribute to board reporting and investor communications.
• Drive automation, process improvement and finance transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a finance function.
• Background in asset management, hedge funds, fund administration, product control or audit with investment‑management exposure.
• Strong understanding of management accounting and financial reporting.
• Exposure to fund accounting and NAV processes is advantageous.
• Commercially minded, proactive and keen to improve processes through technology and automation.
