Senior Financial Controller – Music Industry (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join a leading music‑industry finance function in London. Working closely with the CFO, Finance Director and senior executives, you will own the monthly reporting cycle, statutory accounts, audit and financial control while helping shape strategic decisions across distribution, transformation and people initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes and produce management accounts, board packs and financial reports.
• Own statutory accounts, regulatory reporting and external audit coordination.
• Maintain balance‑sheet governance, reconciliations and working‑capital management.
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS and other regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement of finance processes, systems and controls.
• Partner with senior stakeholders on strategic projects and act as a trusted adviser.
• Develop and lead a high‑performing finance team, deputising for the Finance Director when required.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with solid financial controller experience.
• Proven ability to operate in a visible leadership role and influence senior business leaders.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience working with external partners such as record labels and artists.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
