Senior Flood Risk Consultant – Integrated Catchment Modeller

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Flood Risk Consultant to lead and deliver complex flood risk projects across the UK from our Manchester office. You will apply your expertise in hydraulic modelling, hydrology and GIS to provide innovative, integrated catchment solutions for a leading consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver flood risk projects with a focus on integrated catchment modelling using InfoWorks ICM.
• Mentor and support junior team members, fostering skill development.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring collaborative working.
• Utilise GIS tools (ArcGIS, MapInfo, QGIS) for project delivery and data visualisation.
• Contribute to business development activities, including tendering and client engagement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in 1D‑2D modelling using InfoWorks ICM.
• Experience delivering flood risk analyses for strategy, planning and design purposes.
• Strong GIS competence and experience with TUFLOW, Flood Modeller and ESTRY.
• Chartered status or working towards it is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
