Senior Geotechnical Engineer – Glasgow

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a long‑established multidisciplinary consultancy in Glasgow. The role involves delivering a wide range of geotechnical projects across the UK, from ground investigations to design and construction support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage site investigations and ground condition assessments.
• Interpret investigation data and produce detailed technical reports.
• Develop geotechnical design recommendations for earthworks, foundations, retaining structures and slope stability.
• Conduct mining risk assessments, quarry and mineral development studies.
• Liaise with clients and multidisciplinary teams throughout project phases, from feasibility to construction.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer or in a comparable senior geotechnical role.
• Strong background in site investigations, reporting and design.
• Knowledge of earthworks, foundations, slope stability and ground engineering solutions.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Willingness to travel to sites and reside within commuting distance of Glasgow.
