Senior Hair Stylist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Hair Stylist to join our friendly, independent salon in Thame. You will deliver a high‑quality client experience from consultation through to the final look, using your technical expertise and creativity to help clients feel their best.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cutting, colouring, styling and finishing services to a diverse client base.
• Conduct thorough consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable styles, colours and treatments.
• Build strong, long‑term client relationships and encourage repeat bookings.
• Advise clients on retail products and after‑care maintenance.
• Stay up‑to‑date with current trends, techniques and industry developments.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and professionalism in the salon.
• Contribute to a supportive, positive team environment and help meet salon performance targets.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Hairdressing qualification (or equivalent).
• Proven experience working in a professional salon environment.
• Strong cutting, colouring, styling and finishing abilities.
• Excellent consultation and communication skills.
• Friendly, reliable and professional attitude.
• Passion for delivering outstanding client care and supporting the team.
