Senior Healthcare Assistant

About the role

St Stephen's Care Home, run by Gold Care Homes, is a residential home in Worcester serving 51 residents, including those with dementia or mental health needs. It is looking for a Senior Healthcare Assistant to support residents' daily living and help deliver a person-centred, compassionate care environment. The position is currently not available to sponsorship.

Key responsibilities

• Support and assist residents with all aspects of daily living
• Support the training and supervision of junior and new staff members, under the supervision of senior staff
• Answer the nurse call system, the door and the telephone, and pass on messages promptly
• Report on clients' well-being and liaise with GPs and support managers
• Carry out regular checks on clients at intervals set by senior staff
• Deliver personal and psychological care, arranging rotas for needs such as medication, toileting and bathing
• Complete records and changeover and keyworker documentation to the agreed standards and timescales
