Senior Healthcare Support Worker – Internal Only

About the role

This permanent position is for a Senior Healthcare Support Worker within the Complex Packages of Care (Adult) Service at Bourtreehill Health Centre. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering 24‑hour, home‑based care to adults with highly complex health needs, including ventilation support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24‑hour care to patients in their own homes, following a rotational shift pattern of days, nights and weekends.
• Perform tracheostomy care and changes, suprapubic catheter care, tracheal suctioning, and digital bowel stimulation.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, caring and respectful service delivery.
• Undertake competency‑based training and progress from Band 2 to Band 3.

Required profile

• SVQ Level 2 or equivalent training and development.
• Previous experience in a care setting.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively.
• Willingness to complete required competency training.
• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
• Flexible approach to shift patterns and a pleasant disposition.
