Senior HGV Technician – Edinburgh

About the role

The HGV Senior Technician will join Scania’s Edinburgh workshop, delivering servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of heavy commercial vehicles. Working a flexible shift pattern, you will contribute to keeping our fleet operating safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing, diagnostics and corrective repairs on HGVs and related vehicle types.
• Identify faults using diagnostic equipment and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and adhere to health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with the service team to meet production targets and customer expectations.
• Participate in on‑the‑job training and continuous development programmes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a technician in HGV, LCV, car, agricultural, plant or military vehicle environments.
• Ability to work varied shift patterns, including overtime when required.
• Commitment to health and safety best practices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving capability.

Required skills

• Vehicle servicing and maintenance.
• Mechanical repair and fault diagnosis.
