Senior HR Advisor – ER Specialist

About the role

This is a hands‑on Senior HR Advisor position focused on employee relations within a growing financial services organisation. You will act as the primary point of contact for managers, delivering pragmatic HR advice and managing complex cases day‑to‑day. The role combines operational HR work with the opportunity to mentor junior colleagues and influence people‑data driven improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability, attendance and conduct matters.
• Apply ACAS guidance, particularly for complex grievance handling and consultation processes.
• Support restructures, organisational change and consultation initiatives.
• Coach managers to build confidence in handling people issues.
• Assist recruitment teams to ensure timely and effective hiring.
• Lead performance reviews, salary reviews and probation management processes.
• Deliver inductions, exit interviews and training sessions.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for the HRIS (Workday), ensuring accurate data updates.
• Mentor junior HR staff and share best practices.
• Use people data and trends to inform improvements and business decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex and sensitive employee relations cases independently.
• Strong generalist HR knowledge with a commercial, business‑focused mindset.
• Confident communicator able to influence and advise managers at all levels.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities.
