Senior HR Advisor

About the role

We are seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join a fast‑moving FMCG business based in Paignton. The role is hands‑on, focusing on employee relations, recruitment and the implementation of HR policies and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on employee relations, conflict resolution, performance management and engagement.
• Act as the first point of contact for managers and staff on HR matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment campaigns, from job posting to onboarding.
• Design and deliver training sessions on HR practices and policy compliance.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Develop, review and update HR policies to meet regulatory requirements.
• Participate in HR projects and produce reports on key HR metrics.
• Support the HR administrator and mentor junior HR team members.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of HR/employee‑relations experience, preferably within the FMCG sector.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• CIPD qualification is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using HR software applications.
