Senior HR Advisor – Restructuring Programme

About the role

Our client in Cambridgeshire is seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to support a 3‑6 month restructuring programme. The role starts immediately, is full‑time, and offers a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full consultation processes, including group briefings, one‑to‑one meetings, documentation, timelines and stakeholder communication.
• Work closely with unions in a highly unionised environment, maintaining constructive relationships and navigating challenging discussions.
• Manage employee relations casework arising from change activity, such as disciplinary, grievance and performance issues.
• Facilitate consultation meetings, handling questions, objections and sensitive conversations professionally.
• Provide pragmatic HR advice that balances legal risk, people impact, operational needs and organisational priorities.
• Execute practical HR tasks including letters, notes, outcome documentation, process tracking and case management.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting restructure activity.
• Confidence in running consultation processes.
• Ability to work independently and make sound, pragmatic decisions with minimal oversight.
• Excellent stakeholder communication, especially in sensitive or challenging situations.
• Solid practical HR experience, including drafting documentation and managing process steps accurately.
• Experience advising through complex change and supporting leaders with clear guidance.
