Senior HR Business Partner

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join a values‑led charity operating across multiple sites. You will lead a team of HR Business Partners and Advisors, shaping culture, workforce strategy and people practices while supporting operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team of HR Business Partners and Advisors, fostering a collaborative, high‑performing culture.
• Partner with senior leaders to design and deliver workforce and people plans aligned with organisational objectives.
• Provide expert advice and coaching on all aspects of people management, including performance, engagement and wellbeing.
• Lead complex employee‑relations cases, ensuring fair, consistent and legally compliant outcomes.
• Support and deliver organisational change programmes, restructures and consultation processes.
• Drive workforce planning, talent management, succession planning and skills‑gap analysis.
• Use workforce data to develop metrics, reporting and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• CIPD Level 7 qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in a senior HR business‑partnering capacity, preferably within a multi‑site or charitable environment.
• Strong track record of leading HR teams and influencing senior leadership.
• Excellent knowledge of employment legislation, risk management and best HR practices.
• Commercially minded with the ability to translate people strategy into business results.
