Senior Hydraulic Modeller

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Hydraulic Modeller to join BWB Consulting’s Water Team in the UK, based in either Nottingham or Manchester. The role involves delivering innovative hydraulic and hydrological solutions for flood risk, watercourse, and environmental impact projects across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run hydraulic models for rivers, streams and drainage networks.
• Conduct flood risk assessments and produce technical reports.
• Perform hydrological analyses to support design and mitigation strategies.
• Assess environmental impacts of water‑related projects and advise on mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated water solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hydraulic and hydrological modelling, preferably in a consultancy environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and report writing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
