Senior Internal IT Auditor

About the role

Menzies is seeking a Senior Internal IT Auditor to join its Birmingham office. The role will focus on delivering comprehensive operational and technology audits for not‑for‑profit public‑sector organisations, ensuring ICT risks are managed effectively and internal processes are robust.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end delivery of internal IT audit services, from scoping to reporting.
• Plan and oversee complex operational and IT audits for not‑for‑profit public‑sector clients.
• Supervise and review the work of junior team members on a daily basis.
• Manage project‑related tasks, including risk assessment, audit testing and analysis.
• Identify and evaluate technology‑based risks such as cyber threats, data‑privacy issues, cloud adoption and IT transformations.

Required profile

• Proven experience conducting internal IT audits in public or not‑for‑profit organisations.
• Strong understanding of change management, information security and disaster‑recovery audit frameworks.
• Ability to lead audit engagements and mentor junior auditors.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
