Senior IT Security Engineer

About the role

The Senior IT Security Engineer will join a small, focused security team to protect the organisation’s digital assets. You will design, implement and maintain security controls across the entire IT environment while acting as a technical leader for cyber‑risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Secure Web Gateway and Email Security Gateway solutions.
• Perform vulnerability scans, assess risks and drive remediation.
• Administer perimeter and VPN firewalls, MFA and SSO solutions.
• Oversee Mobile Device Management (MDM), Mobile Application Management (MAM) and Conditional Access policies.
• Maintain security certificates, keys and encryption mechanisms.
• Deliver cyber‑security awareness training to staff.
• Respond to incidents and coordinate threat detection and response activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior security engineering role within a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, risk assessment and compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with IT and business teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive security mindset.
