Senior IT Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior IT Support Engineer to join a fast‑growing Managed Service Provider near Broxbourne. The role is full‑time, office‑based with regular travel to client sites, offering hands‑on experience across Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, VoIP and cyber security.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 2nd line technical support remotely and on‑site, diagnosing and resolving complex IT issues.
• Work daily with Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune and firewall technologies.
• Configure, deploy and maintain switches, routers, firewalls and wireless solutions.
• Troubleshoot networking, Wi‑Fi, connectivity, VoIP and security incidents.
• Participate in customer onboarding, site set‑up and project work as the client base expands.
• Implement and monitor cyber‑security best practices across client environments.
• Mentor apprentices, share knowledge and support their development.
• Build strong client relationships and assist with account management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in a Managed Service Provider environment.
• Proven 2nd line support background with strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.

Required skills

• Microsoft 365 (Intune, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Azure AD).
• Azure cloud services.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls.
• Hands‑on firewall configuration and management.
• Understanding of cyber‑security principles.
