Senior IVVQ Engineer – Hybrid (Wiltshire)

About the role

Join a leading rail‑industry business that delivers software‑led signalling, control and digital rail solutions. As a Senior IVVQ Engineer you will specialise in software systems testing and integration, driving the validation and delivery of complex, safety‑critical rail software. The position is hybrid, requiring three or more days per week in the Wiltshire office.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute test strategies at system and subsystem levels.
• Lead integration activities across hardware and software components.
• Identify, investigate and resolve system defects.
• Support client‑facing validation and acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful delivery.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in systems engineering, V‑model lifecycle roles and systems integration.
• Strong knowledge of Linux command‑line usage.
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco networking, debugging and configuration.
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries.
• Python scripting experience.
• Background in software systems testing and test specification/plan creation.
• Preferably experience in rail signalling or related rail industry projects.
