Senior Java Developer – Credit Risk Technology (Vice President)

About the role

Citi is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join its Derivatives Credit Risk Technology team in London. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining software that supports counter‑party credit risk management across the bank’s global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver advanced technology projects end‑to‑end, from concept and design through development, testing and deployment.
• Provide technical leadership to a wider team of software engineers and analyst developers.
• Ensure application designs follow Citi’s architectural and design patterns.
• Define and enforce coding, testing, debugging and productionisation standards.
• Collaborate with global software engineers, business analysts, DevOps and support staff to deliver robust risk‑management solutions.
• Continuously adopt new technologies to improve the derivatives exposure processing infrastructure.
• Build bespoke tools for risk and capital exposure impact analysis when required.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven experience in the full software development lifecycle.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to guide technical teams.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with globally distributed teams.
• Experience in financial services or risk‑management software is advantageous.
